Myers Park Trinity Little League offers three minor league baseball options for 6-year-old - 12-year-old children. The spring season runs from late February until early June. The fall season runs during September and October. The spring season has approximately 8 coach pitch teams consisting of 6-year olds; 14-16 machine pitch teams consisting of 7 and 8-year-olds; and approximately 10-12 kid pitch teams with 9-12-year-olds. The fall season offers T-Ball, machine pitch, and kid pitch divisions with smaller numbers of teams. Coach pitch may or may not be offered in the fall, depending on interest level.
Whether your child is an experienced player or a beginner, we encourage our coaches to cultivate an environment that is fun while allowing each player the opportunity to learn and develop at their own pace. We hope that you will join us for coach pitch, machine pitch, and kid pitch baseball.
Minor League Coach Pitch - Baseball - For age 6
Games are played using a coach for pitching. Fields have 60 ft. base paths. All children will be assigned to a team; however, skill evaluations are necessary in order to balance teams. 6-year-olds (as determined by Little League) will play in this division. .
Minor League Machine Pitch - American League Baseball - For ages 7-8
Games are played using a machine for pitching. Fields have 60 ft. base paths. All children will be drafted to a team; however, skill evaluations are necessary in order to balance teams. 7 and 8-year-olds will play in this division. Note that skilled 6-year-olds who have played at least one season of T-Ball can request a tryout to determine if they are ready for the AL.
Minor League Kid Pitch - National League Baseball - For ages 9-12
Minor league division where players pitch to batters. Fields have 60 ft. base paths. Skill evaluations are held and players are drafted by coaches to balance teams. All 9-year-olds play in the National League. Some 10, 11, and 12-Year olds also play in the National League
